I am an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at Chung-Ang University. Prior to joining CAU, I worked as an assistant professor at Boise State University and a visiting assistant professor at Cornell University. My academic interests include political sociology, social movements, human rights, social networks, and quantitative methods.
My research focuses on the dynamic interaction between the state and civil society. Additionally, I study the relational and non-relational diffusion of behaviors. My work has been published or is forthcoming in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Social Science Research, Sociological Forum, Mobilization, Human Rights Quarterly, Small Business Economics, Network Science, and others.
